Small Weddings at
Depot Village

An intimate historic venue in downtown Gainesville for small weddings and elopements.

The historic Depot Village house in downtown Gainesville

If you are planning something small, we should talk. Depot Village is an owner-run historic property in downtown Gainesville, with a courtyard, character, and rooms for the people you love most. We are not a banquet hall and we do not run a wedding assembly line. We do intimate, and we do it personally.

What we are

We are a small, historic place in the heart of downtown: an old house, a courtyard, a cafe, and rooms upstairs, all walkable to the rest of the city. That makes us a good fit for the kind of wedding that is more about the people than the production. If your idea of a perfect day is everyone you care about in one characterful spot, a short walk from dinner and drinks, rather than a hotel ballroom off the interstate, we are speaking the same language.

The kind of day we host

Elopements. Micro-weddings. A ceremony in the courtyard and a small reception after. Rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, vow renewals, and the quiet celebrations that matter more than their size. We lean small and personal on purpose, and the historic setting does a lot of the work that flowers and rented decor have to do elsewhere. What exactly we can do for your day depends on your plans, which is why the next step is a conversation, not a brochure.

Rooms for the people

One of the best parts of getting married at a place with rooms is that the people closest to you can stay right there. We can hold rooms so the wedding party and the family are under one roof, together the night before and the morning after, with the courtyard as the gathering spot. Our group trips guide has more on booking a block of rooms, and we are glad to help you sort the lodging side along with the day itself.

Let’s talk

We do not have packages to browse or a menu to pick from. Every small wedding here is shaped around the couple, so the honest answer to almost any question is that it depends on what you are imagining. Tell us your date, your rough guest count, and the kind of day you want, and we will tell you straight what we can do and how. Reach out directly and you will be talking to the people who actually run the place. That is what choosing somewhere small and owner-run gets you.

Common questions

Do you host weddings? Yes, small ones. We are an intimate historic venue, best suited to elopements, micro-weddings, and small celebrations rather than large receptions. Tell us what you are planning and we will let you know how we can help.

How many guests can you accommodate? We are a small venue, so we are built for smaller gatherings. Share your guest count when you reach out and we will tell you honestly what works in the space.

Can the wedding party stay on-site? Yes. We can hold rooms so your party and family stay together, with the courtyard as the gathering place. Ask us about a block of rooms.

How do we book or ask about a date? Reach out to us directly with your date and your plans. You will deal with the owners, not a sales department, and we will shape the day with you from there.

Where is the venue? In the historic core of downtown Gainesville, a few blocks from Depot Park and a short walk from the city’s restaurants, bars, and music.
